About the Job
GreenSheen Paint is hiring a dependable, safety-first CDL Class A Driver based out of our Crest Hill, IL facility.

In this role, you will run local and regional routes across Illinois to collect leftover paint from municipal transfer stations, recycling partners, and community collection events, bringing it back to our Crest Hill facility for processing.

This is an active, hands-on driving position where you are home daily, almost every single night. If you take pride in professional driving, good customer service, and steady full-time work with excellent benefits, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Do:
  • Drive & Transport: Safely operate 26-foot box trucks (and tractor-trailers/combination vehicles as needed) to service collection sites and events across Illinois.
  • On-Site Loading & Material Handling: Inspect, pack, sort, and load palletized paint containers (5-gallon buckets and cubic-yard gaylord boxes of 1-gallon cans) from municipal sites and collection events.
  • Customer Service & Site Restocking: Provide friendly, professional service to site hosts, leave pickup locations clean and orderly, and replenish empty storage supplies and gaylords.
  • Unloading & Daily Documentation: Return to the Crest Hill facility daily to offload trucks using pallet jacks and forklifts. Weigh inbound product, verify piece counts, and complete non-hazardous manifests and Bills of Lading (BOL).
  • Warehouse & Event Support: On lighter route days, assist the plant crew with warehouse material handling, event supply staging, and basic facility tasks.
Shift & Route Details:
  • Home Daily: Local and regional routes—overnight hotel stays are very rare.
  • Regular Schedule: Monday through Friday day shift.
  • Peak Event Flexibility: Occasional Saturday shifts and early morning starts during busy Spring and Fall collection seasons.

What We’re Looking For:
  • License & Medical: Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record and a current DOT medical card (or ability to pass a DOT physical).
  • Driving Experience: Proven commercial driving experience, safely operating commercial box trucks or larger vehicles.
  • Equipment Skills: Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks for loading and unloading heavy freight (pallets up to 800+ lbs). On-site recertification available.
  • Physical Capability: Active, physical work ethic. Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs, pack paint cans, bend, twist, and maneuver loaded pallet jacks.
  • Safety & Reliability: Strong commitment to pre-trip/post-trip inspections, DOT regulations, and dependable daily attendance.
